The only hope for the people she loves. In Old Man's War, John Scalzi brought us a new future, vast in scope, amazingly advanced and yet horribly familiar at the same time. One was to tell Zoe's story as it ran parallel to the events in The Last Colony, and the other was to do his first YA novel. Great as a standalone and fits well in the Old Man's War universe.The story is from the standpoint of Zoe, the adopted daughter of the main characters from Old Man's War and The Ghost Brigades.
